Don't forget to market your website after you've built it
The Importance Of Internet Marketing
Building a great website can be a rewarding experience, but it doesn't amount to much if you don't get anyone to come and visit it. While content and site design and fast load times might be great aspects of your website, your hard work will be for naught if you don't build up your traffic. Search engine optimization (SEO) is everywhere on the Internet, and if you're site isn't optimized for search engine results, unfortunately you're going to lose out to poorer sites with better SEO practices.
It doesn't reallly seem fair that someone can create a basic website using Frontpage or build a blog with a free Wordpress template in ten minutes and have their site outrank your own in the search engines. But in this day and age, it really is important to get your site indexed, backlinked, and otherwise marketed on the Internet like any other product or service. Otherwise, if you choose not to put in the additional effort in order to rank for your site's keywords or keyphrases, you're going to be relegated to the bottom of the search engine heap.

Geeks Need Reliable Web Hosting Too You Know
As a geek who owns and operates a lot of websites, it has always been important for me to be able to find and secure reliable web hosting, online services that can provide me the flexibility, power, and variety of services that I need to run the many different sites that I control. You can learn a lot about web host providers in a very short time, and hopefully what you learn isn't too costly, whether in time or in data--as in lost data from an overnight web host provider that was here today and gone tomorrow (make that here yesterday and gone today). One thing I've learned is that it's far better to take the time doing the research, reading news and reviews about web hosting from other like-minded individuals who run their own blogs or portals or websites dedicated to providing you with independent reports and consumer information on the various web services available on the Internet.

Let the bots do your data collection for you
When it comes to data collection, one word must immediately come to mind--Mozenda. Why? Because the Internet is clogged with filth, and Mozenda just happens to be the business that provides you with the right web data mining software that you need to break through the tedium of data gathering. Mozenda is a bot, and like other bots, it has a specific job to do, that alleviates work for you, allowing you to do better things with your time...things such as processing the data that this web scraper collects for you.
I know what you're saying--that web bots are trouble, and that web mining and scraping are activities that are questionable on the great Web. Well, you're wrong. There's a ton of information on the Internet that is valuable to people who need access to proper statistics and other important data to help them run their businesses. It isn't about collecting email addresses to spam the world, or names and addresses for phishing purposes. Data mining is a valuable process, and using the right software to get the right info can be just like mining for gold--real gold.

Hard drive recovery is probably faster than data re-entry
One of my computer programming buddies is extremely paranoid when it comes to his data. Whenever he writes code, whether on his laptop, his netbook, his home PC, his workstation, or even his handheld (probably something that he has converted to Linux), he takes every precaution to copy his data to servers, remote locations, mini disks, DVD-Rs, and even printed copies in case some electro-magnetic pulse wipes out all his information. He's got a firesafe to store backups, a locking file cabinet at the office for copies, but still insists that I hold on to certain copies "just in case". He even keeps accounts on several free email services that will host copies of his emails and attachments. Whenever I'm over, he's always got machines apart, and is constantly upgrading older hard drives to limit the necessity of a hard drive recovery in case of a drive crash.
I can see his point--to an extent. I like to make sure I have copies of digital photos, because I have had an occasion or two over the years where a hard drive repair has become necessary, and more than one time I've lost more than just the savegame files for my favourite first-person shooters.

The Future Contacts Me Through Email Message
As incredible as it seems, I must now accept the possibility of time travel. For the moment, I must contain my shock and amazement and focus directly at the facts. You see, when I opened my Outlook Express this morning, there was an email in my inbox from the year 2097!!!
Holy worm holes! I'm not sure that I fully comprehend the gravity of this situation. Why me? What higher purpose am I intended to serve? What are the possible consequences if I open that email? I could ultimately change the Future!
I am baffled. What important message could be contained within this email that has the simple heading: "Rolex Watches"?
Is it some descendant of mine trying to tell me to buy Rolex Watches on the market because in the future they will be extremely valuable? Maybe there will be a global catastrophe that has taken away man's ability to create watch mechanisms in general. Is there a crucial need for the materials inside of a Rolex that somehow isn't available in the Future? Are they integral to powering time machines because quartz crystals cause too much interference?!

There is more to web design than just a beautiful home page
A lot of businesses have some good intentions when it comes to designing their corporate website. But when all is said and done, far too often the finished web product is lacking when it comes to communicating the company's true business message. Many businesses make the mistake of having a website built for looks (and just for looks), and while they have invested in a beautifully designed, and sharp looking website for themselves, they will have forgetten to market their website on the Internet, and so in the end, there is no one remarking on how snazzy the website looks because no one is visiting the site (other than the business's own employees). Concept and design are great, but Internet marketing also plays an important role in the success of your website (and your business), and so when your Arizona business (for example) is considering building or upgrading your website, then you should seriously go with a Arizona web design company that can offer a full package website solution, building remarkable websites that can transform website visitors into business clients.
