It houses an extremely large PEZ collection.

How many computers do you have:
4 Workstations, 2 Laptops, 11 servers and 1 handheld and a KayPro 2 that I keep around just to show off that it still boots.

What was your first computer:
IBM 286 w/ DOS 3, I think. I don’t remember the exact specs but I recall that was the machine the introduced me to buffer overflow errors.

Do you remember the first program you ran on it (or the first game you played):
Either Word Perfect or Leisure Suit Larry

Geekiest moment of your life:
The most geeky I ever felt was after installing my first 10 node ArcNet Co-Axial Network using Lantastic. (Wow – That dates me, huh?)

When did you first realize you were a geek:
When my mom called me a geek, and meant it.

Have you ever said anything geeky that someone else did not understand:
Hourly.

What is the funniest/most bizarre computer/Internet/geeky experience you have ever had:
During an onsite service call…Watching my buddy forget to plug in the power supply cables to the switch (prior ATX) and plugging the thing in while holding the case. The blast literally threw him butt first through and office wall and into a group having a meeting on the other side. Fortunately only egos were hurt that day.

What is your favourite quote:
"I don’t feel tardy."

If you were a computer program, you would be: why:
Windows. I’m rather slow, bulky, a bit quirky and needs a lot more memory these days to keep running.

What are you doing when you're not at your computer(s):
BYTE YOUR TONGUE!

You have a time machine that can only be used once. If you use it you will not come back. What date would you set it to, and what ONE thing would you take with you (not a computer):
At least 500 or 600 years in the future. My towel of course.

Jim, who has the ability to sit in one place for 16 hours straight without perceivable movement,  can survive one month on solely Macaroni and Cheese. Jim also has an uncanny ability to translate “Geek Speak” to English which allows him to interact with the real world -- when necessary.
