Dosman thinking about getting that personalized DOSMAN license plate. Nickname: Dosman
Real Name: Nathan
Age: [[ $age > 25 ]];echo "Who knows?"
Resides: Bloomington, IN
Occupation: AIX admin & DBA wrangler
Favourite Websites: Packet Sniffers
Favourite Program Of All Time: Stair Dismount
What Are You Working On Right Now: NotaconTV, episode 4 of The Packet Sniffers, automotive computing system interfacing and modification. And oh yea I sometimes sleep and go to work.
Current Wallpaper/Screensaver: Something orange with neato 3d whisps through it (blaphemish). I don't use screen savers because they usually cause more problems than they are worth (Just a blank screen usually).
What's So Special About Your Computer Room: The room: lack of horizontally allocated free space and my collections of rare and eclectic hardware. System: my poor XP workstation that is nearing 6 months of uptime. It's sad when the timer app I used to measure uptime can't go more than a couple weeks without crashing.
How Many Computers Do You Have: At this very moment: ~20 Intel systems (Game emulator, DOS workstations, luggables, 4way Prolients, ect.), 1 IBM RS/6000 7012-320, 1 RS/6000 7248 43P, 1 IBM AS/400 9406-150, various other handheld and embedded systems. Other hardware of mention: Exebyte 8mm tape robot- capacity 16 carts (Needs work), Cisco 4000 with Eth and FDDI cards, Interphase FDDI concentrator, ect.
Geekiest Moment: Catching my nose on my bedpost ~ 15y/o. Not everything about geekdom is technical you know.
When Did You First Realize You Were A Geek: Kindergarten. When you're different you usually know it early, for better or for worse.
If I Was A Program I'd Be: A BIOS kernel (Any architecture).

Nathan, who can recognize Star Trek: TNG episodes in the first 2 seconds of play, is a budding artist. When he isn't scripting with the Korn Shell (and occasionally Perl), Nathan spends his time creating paperclip sculptures, a passion he developed when working out his anger issues with Clippy, the Microsoft Office assistant.
