Nickname: "Ernobe"

What is your current Wallpaper/Screensaver: Photoshopped image of Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan, showing Khan actually defeating Kirk in final nebula battle.
What does your mousepad look like: like a mousepad should.
What's so special about your computer room: It's towards the South, which fazes out well with what's towards the North-East ( from where I sit ). (Top Geek: I'm guessing that this is a good thing.)
Geekiest moment of your life: I invented a way to play chess in which I didn't have to look at the opponents moves except to know where not to move. As a program, it never got off the planning stage.
When did you first realize you were a geek: When my dad gave me a Pentium.
Favourite quote: "He who attaineth to My love hath title to a throne
of gold, to sit thereon in honour over all the world...." (
Kitab-i-Aqdas, 36 )
What do you do when you're not at your computer(s): Read books, such as "Programming Algol
68 Made Easy"
You have a time machine that can only be used once. If you use it you won't come back. What date would you set it to, and what ONE thing would you take with you (not a computer): I'm guessing that Roy is probably pretty much secure in this time, and if he did tamper with time and space, he would certainly be violating the Temporal Prime Directive

The Truth Behind The Geek (*creative liberties taken for the benefit of the reading audience) Roy, who is our first South American Geek Of The Day (or is it Central America?), can discuss AI ( artificial intelligence ) with the pros over at comp.ai.philosophy. Roy, who may or may not really resemble Ricardo Montalban, but hey it's a good picture, would like to plug his website (no, it's not leaking).
