KJ looks more wired than his server room. Nickname: KJW
Real Name: KJ
Age: 31
Resides: A small town in the Northwest Territories, Canada. (aren't they all?)
Occupation: Definitely working stiff.
Favourite Websites: http://blogs.sun.com/roller/main.do
Favourite Program Of All Time: XEmacs is the one I spend most of my time in.
What Are You Working On Right Now: I'm spending my spare time researching and writing articles for http://www.unixkb.com/ -- a website devoted to practical articles on Unix and related systems.
Current Wallpaper/Screensaver: WaterDrops backdrop, in CDE 1.6.
What's So Special About Your Computer Room: I live in a studio apartment -- it *is* my computer room.
How Many Computers Do You Have: Desktops: Athlon XP2600+ (Solaris 10), lime iMac 400 (Linux/PPC) Laptops: Sony Vaio F250 (Linux/x86), iBook2 (Mac OS X), soon to get an Athlon 64-based (Solaris 10, FreeBSD 5.3) Handhelds: PalmOne Tungsten C, Palm IIIxe, Sony Clie SL10 (PalmOS 5/3/4, respectively)
Geekiest Moment: I figured out an O(1) method of summing numbers from 0 to n. I asked a
friend who is more mathematically knowledgable whose work I had just
duplicated, and he responded that I had just improved one of Gauss'
equations. I think it's mostly impressive to me, rather than others.
When Did You First Realize You Were A Geek: When I figured out that everyone else around me wasn't like me.
If I Was A Program I'd Be: gdb, for sure.

The Truth Behind The Geek (*creative liberties taken for the benefit of the reading audience)
KJ, who is writing an article on the many directories that wind up in one's path on Solaris, can't remember "for the life of me" what the "ccs" in /usr/ccs stands for. KJ, at age seven, claims to have invented the first ever wireless phone when he cut the string connecting two tin cans.
