Xen virtualization so I can take better advantage of my hardware and better manage the various services I run.

I've settled on the most beautiful gradient ever seen, but I am unwilling to share it with others.

That it's a separate room! 

How many computers do you have:
About six Athlon and P4 machines. Desktops and servers.

What was your first computer:
Sadly it was an Acer that eventually got rained on. Also, it was a creepy purple/green color.

Maybe Netscape was the first thing I was excited about.

Geekiest moment of your life:
Attending a MathML conference in the middle of the summer.

When did you first realize you were a geek:
I'm a geek?

I throw around the word 'grok' quite a bit.

 you have ever had:
Twice I've had people introduce themselves to me at geeky events and say something like the following, "Hi, I'm Mr. X. I'm working on my social skills tonight."

The power control utility because I'd like to go to sleep when someone shuts my lid.

What do you do when you are (heaven forbid) not at your computer(s):
I gladly move to magazines and books.

You have a time machine that can only be used once. If you use it you will not come back. What date would you set it to, and what ONE thing would you take with you (not a computer):
I'd go back maybe 5 years with a complete list of stock prices from the past 5 years. I'd learn more during those years as I repeat them and make some scratch while doing it.
