Geekiest moment of your life:
My friend Kevin tells a story about one day he called me when I was in a really bad mood. He told me his computer was acting up. My response was "Is Windows still installed?" He said yes, and I hung up.

When did you first realize you were a geek:
Patrick is still in denial.

Have you ever said anything geeky that someone else did not understand:
"Maybe on our next date, we can get past the first stage bootloader."

What is the funniest/most bizarre computer/Internet/geeky experience you have ever had:
I was talking to the DOS 6.22 prompt and, after several "Bad Command or File Name" responses, I typed "IF you've been poorly coded, say bad command or file name"
It responded "Syntax Error" (Think about it for a couple minutes...)

What is your favourite quote:
" A Linux machine! because a 486 is a terrible thing to waste!"

If you were a computer program, you would be: why:
GAIM (a multiplatform, multiprotocal instant messenger), because I like to be social, but I hate being away from the computer.

What do you do when you are (heaven forbid) not at your computer(s):
Surf the web on my cell phone.

You have a time machine that can only be used once. If you use it you will not come back. What date would you set it to, and what ONE thing would you take with you (not a computer):
If the time machine runs on Windows, I'll stay right where I am thank you very much.

Patrick, who checks his e-mail before he brushes his teeth in the morning, can do anything on Linux twice as fast as somebody could with Windows. Patrick has yet to meet a C compiler that is more friendly and easier to use than eating soup with a knife.
