Having the DBA (Database Admin) at work state, during a conversation between us: "Ok, I'm leaving. This is getting too geeky for me."

Geocaching, mostly. Sometimes movies and bookstores.

You have a time machine that can only be used once. If you use it you will not come back. What date would you set it to, and what ONE thing would you take with you (not a computer):
If I wouldn't be able to come back, I likely would save it for emergencies (sort of a going to the past to make sure I don't make the same mistake twice or somesuch). God knows if I went to the future, found a barren landscape with only cockroaches, I would hate to be stuck there.
